PROTOTYPES

FaceTime interviews with artists moving through their day, raw, wild, and from the start of their projects. We dive into what they're working on, their process, their purpose, and their prototypes.

You ready?
Yup, lets hit it.

Process:
Hey, this is Taylor from LENS Mag. Thanks for doing this. We usually do interviews the formal way, but figured we’d try something different—text convo cool with you?

Purpose:
Bet. That’s perfect actually. I hate Zoom anyway.

Prototype:
Alright, jumping in—how’d you first get into music? Not the press kit version. What really made you start rapping?

How did you set new terms?

Alton:
We ended up ripping up the agreement and setting new terms. It was about five rounds of revisions but we landed on a contract that helped me grow my brand and my music and the record label made good money.

I was thankful for my agent to stay true to the value of the music I produce.

What r
u working on now?

Alton:

This is a track going a totally new direction. I'm not sure my followers have heard me do anything like this work before. But that's what it's all about. Testing and going into new beats the world has never seen. That's why I do it.
