You do incredible work and it deserves to be promoted.

Here's a quick overview:

This is a general outline we'll follow on our 20-30min FaceTime call together. We don't have to stick to it. It's just a flow to follow.

01

Present State
Where are you at currently. The work, your studio, and you.

02

Emergence
What’s starting to appear. What are you working specificially. This is when we talk about the piece, project, or prototype.

03

Formation
Now, what was the origin story? Why did you feel this needed to exist?

04

Applied Process
Making in real time. What is the process that you use to go about making it. How did you find this process and how long have you used it?

05

Constraints
What limits, shapes, or slows the work. What struggles are you facing and how do you overcome them?

Interview Checklist

Here's a list of items you'll want to be sure to have ready.

iPhone 1.

We'll do the interview over FaceTime.
Make sure you have your phone charge.
Make dowloaded latest iOS update.
Good service.

Location 2.

You can be stationary in a specific location, or you can be in route.
Being in the space you create is a great option but sometimes it's more dynamic if your on your way there. Or if you're on set working on the project. You can be creative here and don't be afraid for it to be too busy.

Lighting & Audio 3.

The mic on you phone is great, and if you can face a nice light source it's even better.
That doesn't mean it has to be in a bright space. It can be in your car or on scaffolding at night. We just want to be sure we can see and heare you.

Piece or Project 4.

This is what you'll want to focus the conversation on.
You'll want to have a few things ready to talk about specifically about the thing you would like to share.

Tone 5.

We got here because we both love creating. What we love is the focus and let's enjoy it.
The interview is so much better when it's casual, we allow room for mistakes, and give ourselves freedom for mistakes. This to is a process of creating and if we focus on the work the pressure goes away. Let's have a good time and make it fun. There is no stress, if it doesen't work we'll never publish it. It was great to talk to you.
